The races are aimed at all from novice to experienced riders. You do not have to belong to a club, or enter the event beforehand. You can ride any bike, mountain bikes are suitable; just turn up before the event pay a small entry fee to cover costs and insurance, collect a number and get ready to race!
At all the venues there will be racing for under 10 year olds, under 12 year olds, under 16 year olds, women , juniors, seniors, and veterans with prizes in all categories
One of the largest growth areas has been in women riders and in order to encourage more participants there will be a separate women’s event.
The children’s races are supported by local club Lakeland Sprinters, VC Cumbria’s junior section.
The people from Total Healthcare Whitehaven will be at the event offering body composition testing
