New trails mean a revitilised Clayton Vale course on 17 November

Sunday 17th November sees the return of Cyclo Cross to Clayton Vale in central Manchester, part of the NWCCA league, just a stone’s throw away from the National Cycling Centre with all its facilities. Its 2 years since Clayton Vale has been used since which time facilities have been upgraded and mountain bike trails installed.

Signing on will be at the Clayton Vale Visitors centre with refreshments and toilets available (Nearest Postcode is the Bay Horse public house: M40 1GR) which is at the Junction of Edge Lane and Berry Brow .

The course will include features from previous years including the ‘Sand Pit’, ‘Steps’ and this year a new cobbled section and testing uphill start.

Ground conditions should be good as the Vale usually drains well and much of the ground is grit and stone. There will be a separate U10/12 course so plenty of time to ride the course after the U16 event .

Additional parking can be found at The National Cycling Centre which is only a few minutes rid away from the course which riders are encouraged to use with limited street parking adjacent to the visitor centre, Further information from race organiser ; Phil Braybrooke pbraybrooke@yahoo.com  – tel 07535 663 687
