Rossendale ‘cross, Landgate and Moss Quarries: Preview

Sunday 11 October sees the 2nd running of the Rossendale CX at Landgate and Moss Quarries. As last year it is an interesting course, very different from the fast courses of the last couple of weeks. There is the compulsory dismount at the bottom of the hill and carry to the top; not nearly as severe as the Three Peaks though. In the spirit of cyclo-cross we hope competitors will enjoy the course riding their CX bikes and not turning to their Mountain Bikes.

Parking is again an issue, we would like you to park considerately on the main road (Market Street) and not to attempt to drive up towards the Quarry as this causes problems for the locals who live there. Parking at the quarry is reserved for the marshals, officials’ and organisation team.
