Our world champions
With the UCI World Masters taking part on these shores this year, in Trinity Park, Ipswich, it was hard to imagine anything but a great contingent of UK riders taking to the start line. Riders from our region did not disappoint, and we now have two world champions in our midst!
On Friday, Nicola Davies took the women’s 60-64 age group – her second world masters jersey in a few years. And then on Saturday, Ramsbottom’s national v40 champion Lewis Craven won the men’s 40-45 championship.
Our hearty congratulations to and pride in them both – a wonderful achievement for our regular riders.
And a big well done to the scores of other North West riders who did the region proud with other podium positions and some truly memorable performances.
