A tough old day at work for everyone who turned up. Not exactly spectator-friendly weather, but some quality racing over a fairly uninspiring course. At least the mud didn’t stick! This was a new Cyclo Cross series run by Manchester Cycling Development with support from Evans Manchester staff and local volunteers. The newly refurbished Clayton Vale Visitors Centre was opened by the Friends of Clayton Vale to act as Headquarters, with coffee and bacon butties on the menu.

The Beacon Park Prize Presentation is now on the 20th Jan, which leaves room on the 13th January for the new Red Rose event – details to follow soon. Meals need to be booked an paid for in advance so tickets will be available probably at St Helens (in December).
