East Liverpool Wheelers Cyclocross – 27 October 2007, Otterspool Park

After a fast start forced by visitor Keith Murray (Wheelspin Cycles / Scott), a leading group of four riders established itself at the head of a great circuit in Otterspool Park. Murray’s company was Dave Brailsford (Horwich), Rob Pugh (Liverpool Century), and Mark Leyland (Wyre Forest CRC).

Brailsford rode one of the run-ups after two laps, forcing Murray to chase, dropping the other two riders. Murray never got back on terms, rolling a tub in the process of chasing series leader Brailsford. Rob Pugh eventually distances Mark Leyland to get a clear 3rd place.
