National Trophy Round 2, Ipswich: Another strong North West day out

Paul OldhamIt was a case of ‘more of the same’ for the North West riders as three victories came once again in the National Trophy yesterday in Chantry Park, Ipswich. The rain came on the day just in time to make a slimey course, which proved to offer no extra challenges for Paul Oldham (Hope Technology), Amy Hunt and Roy HuntRoy Hunt (Kinesis UK), who all gained maximum points to add to their first round victories. Rob Jebb and Lewis Craven (Wheelbase / GoreBike Wear) finished 7th and 9th respectively, having both recovered from crashes on the slimey corners. The region wasn’t represented in the Juniors, but Martin Wooffindin (Sport City Velo) took a creditable 17th place in the Youth Race. Full report here. (British Cycling)
