The Youth course used the full Senior course which this year included a 10m sand pit and a few extra twists to reduce the road section
Chris Lawless from SportCity Velo set a blistering pace from the start with Christian Braybrooke trying in vain to hold his wheel before dropping back and linking up with Ashley Clitheroe. Behind them Alex Braybrooke and Rob Armstrong resumed their usual struggle for the U14 spot.
Chris Lawless stretched out his lead with Ashley winning out over Christian and Rob Armstrong taking the U14 spot and Jess Wilkinson the Girls 1st spot
114 riders took to the start line in the senior race. The first lap saw the usual charge for the first pinch point with everyone getting away safely
Richard Wilkinson (Probikekit) took an early and what looked like commanding lead, putting 40 seconds into a chasing group of Giles Drake and Paul Bethell. First Junior was Jack Humphries from Red Rose with Dean Smith well up as the first Vet.
The race continued with this pattern until at 50 mins Richard Wilkinson punctured which brought him back with Giles and Paul.
The three attacked each other over the last couple of laps until Giles got a decisive gap, Richard recovering to take second with Paul in 3rd. Dean continued a good ride finishing 1st Vet with Jack Humphries 1st Junior in 7th place and Jack Puller 1st U23
