North of England Championships – Sunday 8th December – Remember to Enter
One of the few races that requires a pre-entry, remember…
There’s still a little while to go before the closing date (4th December) for the North of England Championships scheduled for Sunday 8th December.
The race will be at one of the most exciting new venues in the country, the York Sport Village, just off the A64 to the East of the city. This is extremely accessible, being only 90 mins from Manchester, 45 mins from most of South and West Yorkshire and under 2 hours of easy driving from Newcastle. There is a full day of racing planned:
- 11.00 Youth
- 12.00 Vet-50
- 12.02 Women
- 13.00 Junior
- 13.02 Vet-40
- 14.30 Senior Men
All of these championship category races are pre-entry only via the event’s listing on the British Cycling calendar – entry closes 4th December. The calendar listing also allows you to check out who has already entered your category!
Under-12 Racing – in addition there will be non-championship races for Under-12/Under-10/Under-8 at 10am – entry for these races is on the day only.
The venue boasts a host of sporting facilities including a circuit race course and clubhouse facilities and the event as a whole looks set to be very user-friendly:
- hot food and drink available all day
- showers, lockers (£1 desposit) and changing rooms
- brand new course
- chip timing
- PA & commentary
- podium
Be one of the first riders to try this exciting new course and also get a chance to check out the popular new road circuit.
