HORWICH HUMDINGER PREVIEW

Race preview from organiser Dave Headon:

HORWICH HUMDINGER GOES SUPERSONIC

If you’re scared of riding your bike at speed and cornering fast, then you better hide under the bed this weekend :O
Highly experienced Horwich Cross Rider Steff Chandler has designed a fast course, and with the dry weather the racing can only be rapid.
After Colin tied us in knots with tight tiny bends last week, this course offers open spaces and criterium speed cornering and straights. In Belgium terminology, a Criterium Cross.
We are using all the parts of the park that we are allowed, and the vast majority will be on grass.
There are no rocks or puncture hazards, as cross courses are meant to be, so bring your best wheels and tyres, run them at the best pressures  and enjoy them 🙂
Spectators are most welcome, and the racing will make good viewing, with most of the course easily visible.
The start and finish areas are close to the race HQ so we expect a good crowd there as usual.
There will be a double pit like all World Cup Events 🙂 (why settle for less……. 🙂
We have the longest straight in North West Cross for the start, it’s all on quality grass, and the best riders can get to the front safely using their power without risking their necks.
The signing on and changing rooms are at the Power League building, behind the running track.
Feel free to use either car park.
PLEASE LOCK ALL BIKES that are left unattended on cars or otherwise. It’s probably 20 years since one was stolen from at the race, and we want to keep it this way, and don’t want anyone’s season spoiling, so please don’t leave bikes hanging about.
Turn up if you dare 😀
