Sheepmount Cyclo-Cross Preview

The Course is altered only slightly from last year-lots of flat wide grass track,with one steep bank necessitating a run up.The ground remained reasonably firm last year despite being low lying so fingers crossed for not too much rain in the next fortnight.

There are changing rooms and shower facilities for those wishing to get clean,warm and dry before travelling home.

There is a cafe in the Main reception area which will be serving hot snacks and drinks.

Carlisle city centre is a pleasant 5 mins walk away through Bitts park for those wishing to finish off(or indeed start) their Xmas shopping.

The Sheepmount playing fields are behind Carlisle castle-because of the dual carriageway you will drive past the castle and have to proceed as far as the mini roundabout by the McVitties factory before doubling back on yourself. As usual North West Cross direction signs will be out on local roads.
