The Lakes Road Club is holding the Wheelbase.co.uk-sponsored North of England Cyclo Cross Championships at Brockhole – The Lake District Visitors Centre near Windermere on Sunday December 5th.

We have been able to improve and lengthen the course we used last year, and with the help of The Lake District National Park, the circuit will now include a tarmac climb and a new start area.

For anyone wanting to ride please note that the race is an A Category event and entries will have to close on November 21st for all riders, only the under 12 riders can enter on the day.  Entry form here.

Because we are trying to encourage Cross in the area, we are setting the course out on Friday the 4th, and are holding a Go Cross day on the Saturday 4th December, for children of all ages without a BC licence.

But we welcome any senior riders wanting to try their hand at Cyclocross or to pre ride the course, riders will be able to use the course at various times throughout Saturday

Go Cross races for under 16 year olds 1 – 3 pm appox.
