It’s like we were transported to mid season, in an instant. It never rains in Rawtenstall, either. A proper rarity.
The 2024-25 season opener was held in fine style by the Rossendale Road club with a fantastic set of helpers and officials. Particularly Richie Watts as well as Mountain Rescue, Dean, and the fell team for their part today.
The testing course suddenly because a hugely gruelling lap for all categories following the rain that we hoped might hold off. But it was a race, and people raced. Hard.
Well done to all, and thanks for making round 1 a worthy and brilliant event.
