2018-19 Youth award nominations

1. We’re now looking for nominations for the 2018-19 Iestyn Keir award

This award will to one of our league youth riders (U16 and younger) who has shown determination, improvement, good sportsmanship and most of all a sense of fun and enjoyment in their racing as Iestyn always did.

Club coaches are encouraged to nominate any youth riders they feel should be shortlisted by emailing info@nwcca.org.uk (please put Iestyn Keir award in the subject line) with the name and age of the rider and why they are being nominated.

The final decision will be made by our team of commissaries who see the riders regularly at races.

2. We’re now looking for nominations for the 2018-19 Caroline Wood award

Previously presented to the winning Youth girl, we now have two separate Youth girl trophies (U16 and U14) so are changing the Caroline Wood trophy to be one awarded for ‘most improved’ status. Results, of course, are one thing… but for many reasons, results can be blighted by attending other events, and improvement isn’t just a mathematical thing.

So please think / nominate a Youth girl (U16 or U14) who really has put it in and made great improvements in 2018-19
