Preview: NWCCA finale at Bruntwood Park by Trek Wilmslow

Trek Wilmslow welcome you to Bruntwood Park for the final round of the NCCWA league for 2022/23. We have a slightly different course to our last event and its definitely going to be a tough one! Lots of very soggy grassy sections, some proper mud traps and a spiral of doom!

We will have a small events village again with hot drinks courtesy of Kickback Coffee and food courtesy of The Vinary based in the park.

There will be stands from; Muc-Off, Target Composites and Trek there.

Muc-Off have provided some freebies to give away.

Target Composites are there with some examples of just what carbon bike repair looks like.

We shall have a few Trek Boones available to buy along with some demo e-bikes to try out.

Sign on;

This will be the first gazebo you come to as you walk into our ‘village’ area. We have safety pins available if you need some on the day.

Pits ;

There is access from the bottom of the car park next to the BMX track to the pits via a crossing point over the race circuit. There will be signs up to direct pit crews there.

From the race course, the pit area has staggered access with a separate washing area. There is no tap on site to fill cleaning gear.

Kit drop off ;

We will have a small area in the Bruntwood car park where you can easily stop before going to park at the school. It is on a one-way roundabout kind of setup that exists in the park.

Toilets ;

We have permission to use the public toilets in the park for the day. They are located on the road in to the park from Ladybarn School just as you reach the main car park.

Prizes ;

Prizes for children’s categories will be awarded on the day as soon after racing as possible near sign on. Monetary prizes for all other races will be sent out in the week following.

Parking ;

There are two options on the day.

Ladybarn School;

This School is just on the edge of the park. They have kindly let us use their car park for the day. We will have bodies in it marshalling and their is CCTV operating. Obviously, it will be a muddy day and kit/bikes will need cleaning off before being loaded up but a request around mud in this car park. Can we try to avoid big mud piles in this car park as they need to open for school on the Monday morning.

Bruntwood Park;

This is council owned pay and display. Payment can be cash or via the RinGo app.

Wherever you end up parking, cars are left at your own risk.

We hope you have a great day whatever the weather! It will almost certainly be a muddy affair even if its dry on the day.

Lets Race!
