Preview: North Cheshire Clarion ‘cross – Wythenshawe Park – Sunday 21st September 2025

Round 2 of the NWCCA season sees us back at Wythenshawe Park for the North Cheshire Clarion CX races (Postcode M23 0AB for Satnav, directions here). We’ve kept all the features you told us you loved and made a few tweaks to keep things interesting.

Some housekeeping….

Parking

Please park considerately and use the designated event parking, this is accessed through the gates in the metal fence on the lefthand side when entering the park.

Event Location

Wythenshawe Park is a public park so be mindful and respectful of members of the public including dog walkers and young children especially if warming up/cycling off-course.

Sign On

Sign on will be in the gazebo adjacent to the finish line.  Sign-on closes 15mins before each race. No entries on the day.

Coffee / Snack Van

Pebble and Friends will have their coffee and snack bar (bacon/sausage sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, rice bowls, and kids menu), in the Courtyard approx 200m south of the event carpark.

Toilets

Toilet facilities are available in the Courtyard (adjacent to Pebble and Friends). Please treat these with respect, no washing muddy kit in the sinks!

Pits / Bike Washing

There will be double pits available these are less than 150m from the carpark, please only access using the designated crossing point – see map. Please only wash bikes in the pits and bring your own water as there is no water supply.

Security

Please take care of your personal belongings, don’t leave valuables on display in vehicles and / or bikes unattended.

Podium & Prizes

Podiums and winner’s photos will be held at the end of each race.  Children’s prizes (U8, U10 and U12) will be presented on the day with a podium so if you do well, don’t rush off! This will be around midday.

Special Request

For all of those in the last race of the day, please can you lend a hand by bringing in a few stakes and some tape. Many hands make light work and all that, and all help is much appreciated.
