Preview: Lancaster CC ‘cross – Woodside Cycle Centre – Saturday 19 September 2026
Round 2 of the NWCCA takes us back Woodside Cycle Centre for the Lancaster Cycling Club CX races (Postcode BD22 0AA for Satnav, directions here). We’re hoping to run a slightly different course to last year including a number of exciting new features. The bottom of the site is undergoing some major development at the moment though and we may need to make some adjustments to this ahead of race day. Either way, we’ve got a great day of racing planned and can’t wait to welcome you all!

Some housekeeping….
Parking
Parking charge at £5 on arrival. If you can, please bring exact change. Card payment will also be available if not.
Please park considerately and use the designated event parking. Parking is fairly limited so please do not leave large spaces between vehicles. Please use the main access to High Adventure and marshals will direct you into Car Park 1 or 2. Payment will be taken on arrival, but if you do manage to sneak past – please do come and let us know. The fees all go directly into the development of Woodside Cycle Centre.
If we run out of space in the car parks, please make sure you park considerately around the venue. Do not block driveways, footpaths or any other access and please do not double park on Keighley Road.
Event Location
Woodside Cycle Centre is located behind High Adventure Centre in Cowling. It is a dedicated cyclo-cross and mountain bike facility and is in development by Tim Ferguson and the Woodside team. Please be respectful when using the facilities here as there is an awful lot of work that has been carried out by volunteers and facilitated by generous donations to the organisation. Please ensure we leave all facilities and car parking areas as we found them.
If you would like to donate to the centre, you can do that via their Crowdfunder page, or you can also volunteer your time by getting in touch direct:

Sign On
Sign on will be in the gazebo adjacent to the course in the top field. Sign-on closes 15mins before each race. No entries on the day.
Coffee / Snack Van
Morning GRIND Coffee will have their coffee and snack van (hot & cold drinks, cakes, chocolate etc) in the top field near Car Park 1. Please show them our support and give them a visit on the day!
Toilets
Toilet facilities are available in a dedicated toilet block at the bottom of car park 1. Please treat these with respect, no washing muddy kit in the sinks!
Pits / Bike Washing
There will be double pits available ~100m from the carpark, please only access using the designated crossing point (Wolfcat Bridge). Jet washers are provided in a dedicated washing area. Please DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN JET WASHERS. You will be asked to remove them if brought to site. Thank you for your co-operation on this one.
Security
Whilst this is a private venue, please take care of your personal belongings, don’t leave valuables on display in vehicles and / or bikes unattended.
Podium & Prizes
Podiums and winner’s photos will be held at the end of each race. Please do stick around if you think you may have made it into the top 3 of your category. There will be a small gift for each podium place.
Special Request
For all of those in the last race of the day, please can you lend a hand by bringing in a few stakes and some tape. Many hands make light work and all that, and all help is much appreciated.
