Giles Drake and team mate Paul Bethell (right) swapped positions on Saturday as they again finished 1-2 at a sunny Otterspool Park in the East Liverpool wheelers event. Yorkshire duo Neal Crampton and James Dalton followed in 3rd and 4th positions.

The Inter Area Team Championships take place on Sunday November 11th at Milton Keynes Bowl.
This year’s North of England Cyclocross Championships will be hosted by Yorkshire and you are heartily encouraged to pre-enter (it’s one of the few races that requires a pre-entry) here on the British Cycling site
Team Elite’s Paul Bethell (right) took first place at the Pignut Hill course on this year’s event put on by Weaver Valley CC. On a different and more technical loop than in previous event, Bethel and team mate Giles Drake ploughed ahead to fight out a sprint well ahead of third placed Pete Middleton (Zepnat).
Bogart Hole Clough looked like something out of ‘Fellowship of the Ring’ at 8am on Sunday morning when we arrived to set up the course, with misty wraiths swirling out of the chilly cloughs. However the peace didn’t last long as nearly 250 racers descended during the morning including no less than 67 under 12’s/10’s!! […]
