Geoff Bewley Memorial Cross 2014 – Otterspool Park

Liverpool Century is again proud to once more hold a Lazer North West Cyclo-Cross league event on Saturday 15th November @ Otterspool Park, Liverpool. This exciting league produces some great battles right through the standings with multiple contests being held per race.

As always we hope to add to the league and provide an interesting course that challenges your legs and head.
The course will be taped throughout with the finish area decked out in glorious red barriers.

A PA system will provide the soundtrack to your ride with #LiverpoolPlants & #joeearley entertaining us with their commentary.

Top 3 in each race will receive a podium presentation as soon as the result is out. Listen out for updates from G & Joe.
Both Top 3 boys and girls in Youth/U12/U10/U8 categories will receive trophies, medals and prizes.

Prizes will be presented by Tour De France & Giro D’Italia stage winner Martin Earley.

As usual we hope to provide some out of league competition from some local boys turned good.
The winners in the Senior, Womens & Vets race will receive a unique winners jersey kindly supplied by Ken Jones from BIORACER.

Sign on will be in the Otters Cafe as usual, please be respectful of their facilities. There are toilets in the cafe.
They will be serving hot food, cake and drinks throughout the day.

As with all events in a public place we have to share the park with other users. We will have marshals at all key points to make sure the public know what is happening, but riders must show them respect.

Courses

We’ve tried to use some new sections of the park and the usual sections with a twist. The Muro Di Otterspool is back in after a few years away along with a cobbled descent thrown in for good measure. As usual the courses head out and back to the top field so spectators will see the riders several times a lap. Under 12 and Under 10/8 courses remain on the top field with some challenging sections for the Under 12s.
