Manchester Bicycle Club Cyclo-Cross Preview

So this year on Saturday October 3rd Manchester Bicycle Club are organising our first cyclocross event this year at Heaton Park.
This location is one of the most popular venues in the NWCCA calendar previously being organised by Manchester Wheelers who this year are busy with the North of England championships.
The course will be very similar to the championships so a chance for you to have a go or practise on the same course and venue and score some league points.
Sign on this year will be in the two lodges at the Bury Old Rd/ Scholes lane entrance and the good news this year is we are opening up the car park next to the lodges for competitors. Please be aware there is a £1.50 fee for parking at the park.
To avoid long queues there will be a gazebo outside the lodges for anyone wishing to join the league before signing on for the race. If you have already joined the league go straight into the lodges to sign on. Vets and Women will be signing in separate lodges to Seniors/ youths and juniors so we can share the queues and cut down on wait times for you.
The course is the usual fast course with plenty of room for overtaking and to handle the big numbers of riders. We will have the usual jump boards, Steps, off camber and through the woods sections to give you a full cyclocross experience. Its not a surprise it’s the choice for the championships this year the course provides one of the best experiences you will have.
We intend to welcome lots of spectators with an MC booked, extra toilets, Coffee van and we even have an on site mechanic for any last minute tweaks, tune ups or small repairs you may need before racing.
